Karen has over 30 years of experience teaching professionally. She is an active tennis volunteer in the city of San Antonio and through out the state of Texas, promoting grass roots tennis for all ages of tennis players.

She was a state ranked player at Churchill High School and went on to play collegiate tennis at Texas Tech.  Her positive reinforcement, logical progressions and up-to-date techniques and drills make learning tennis easy. Karen's main objective is to meet the needs of each individual player and help them achieve their desired results.

Scott has been teaching professionally for over 25 yrs in San Antonio. His successful playing and teaching experience brings strength to our High Performance Junior Academy.
We think you will enjoy the work ethic, discipline and fun he brings to the youth and adults programs at the Tennis Park.

Scott is married to Christi and they have 2 beautiful girls. The whole family plays tennis. Brittney is 13 yrs old and has been ranked nationally and currently plays Super Champs 14's. Brianna who everyone calls "Nana" plays 12's as a 9 yr old! 

Carlos Moreiras

Originally from Cordoba, Argentina.  With over 30 years of teaching experience, Carlos has a clear understanding concerning instruction and planning of training programs for adults and children.  His background also includes specialized studies in tennis coaching from the renown Argentinean Academy and USPTR and PTR certificates.  As a player he has competed in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, and now in Texas.

Carols is married to Maria. Daniel his oldest son played tennis for 4 years at UTSA, was a high ranked junior in the state and played #1 at Churchill HS. His youngest son Tito is a junior at Churchill where he plays #1. Tito also has a national ranking and recently qualified to play in the USTA National Playoffs where he was only a couple rounds away from qualifing for the US Open! 

Ryan Takao

Ryan is the past Head Coach for the Trinity Women's Tennis Team. He was the Head coach from 2008-2011 and an assistant from 1997-2008. Ryan was a 4 year letterman on the Tiger men's team where he helped Trinity win three consecutive Southern Collegiate Conference titles as a player. Ryan was named to the All-SCAC Team twice in his career. As a junior player Ryan received the Texas Boys 18s Super Championship Art Faust Award for two years. He was ranked as high as 11th in the state in juniors and he and his father, Rich, were #1 as doubles players in the state. Ryan is married to Cari True and they have a newborn son Nate.

In 2004 Larry represented USA in the Para Olympics in tennis! He has also won 6 World team cups, had 5 appearances in Grand Slams where only the Top 8 players in the world are invited. He has been ranked as high as #2 in USA with an ITF World ranking of #10! He has earned 7 USTA gold tennis balls and 5 silver balls. Larry has 2 daughters, Mia and Carly who also play here. He is an incredible player and champion and we are PROUD to have him here on staff at The Tennis Park.
