Learn now and Play Forever!

Our club will be open for play, private lessons and group lessons with maximum of 4 players starting Friday, May 1, 2020.  Below are the policies under which our club will operate based on Bexar County news releases.

  • Everyone must adhere to Bexar County’s policy on wearing a face mask when not playing tennis.
  • Congregating in and around the office, park and courts is not allowed. Think of tennis as “Tennis & Go”.
  • The office will have limited hours and will only allow 1 player at a time to enter. If you need to contact us please call, text or email any questions.
  • No more than 4 players to a court. Group lesson are also limited to 4 players and a coach. We will no longer be able to allow for makeup classes because of ratio.
  • We WILL NOT provide cups. Our water and ice machine are touch-less so refills are safe.
  • Keep 6’ apart from other players off and on the court. Do not make physical contact with them (such as shaking hands or high five).
  • Only instructors will be allowed to pick up balls and use the ball mowers during lessons. Use your racquet to move the ball to the net or fence while picking up or for safety. Do not use your hands.
  • Players are required to use COVID Tennis Ball Etiquette. Here are a few guidelines to use while playing sets, matches, or hitting with friends.
    • If you are playing with your immediate family you may play as you have in the past.
    • Warm Ups or Hitting with friends: Do not pick up the tennis balls with your hands.  Use your racket or your shoe and racquet to scoop up the tennis balls, bounce the balls off your racquet and hit it to your opponent.
    • Set or Match Play: Each player on the court needs to bring their own can of balls, preferably with different numbers. When it is your turn to serve you will only use the 3 balls from your can.  Other players on the court should not touch those tennis balls with their hands.  They can roll, kick, or use their racquet to pass the tennis balls to the server.  When your service game is over, then the next server gets the 3 balls from their can and is the only player that touches those 3 balls.  Use this tennis ball rotation throughout the set or match.
  • At this time we will NOT be allowing additional spectators at the club. Club usage will be limited to individuals playing or taking lessons only. Parents with children in lessons are allowed one adult to supervise during the lesson (social distancing applies).  Parents with additional children, siblings, friends not participating in a lesson at the same time should remain at home or wait in the car with you. Players, parents, guests, and children will not be allowed to roam the facility.
  • Players, parents, & guests  feeling ill should NOT come to the club.  All players (adults and children) should stay home when sick. If you are sick or a family member is sick, DO NOT COME TO THE CLUB. (It only takes 1 person)
  • If a client shows up with symptoms, the staff will politely ask them to leave.

  • All players should wash hands before and after play with soap and water (20 seconds). If soap and water are not available, please use hand sanitizer so bring your own.
  • Clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles. Do not share equipment.
  • Use new balls and grip, if possible. (Balls are provided in lessons.)
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Consider taking extra precautions such as wearing gloves.
  • If you need to sneeze or cough, do so into a tissue or upper sleeve.
  • Arrive as close as possible to the start of your lesson.
  • Avoid touching court gates, fences, benches, etc. if you can.
  • Players will need to supply their own racquets. We will NOT be offering loaner or demo racquets at this time.
  • Remain apart from other players when taking a break.
  • If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or with your racquet.
  • Avoid sharing food, drinks, or towels.
  • Please throw your trash away properly so we do not have to touch it.
  • If you can, do not use the restrooms at the club they are for emergencies only and will remain locked. Wait until you go home. The poolside restrooms will not be available.
